Flood Watch Issued for Humber River / Deer Lake Area
The Water Resources Division has issued a Flood Watch for the Humber River and communities located along the banks of the Humber River and Deer Lake.
River levels are rising and may approach or exceed river banks. Flooding in areas near the river may occur. Residents and property owners near the river are advised to take appropriate precautionary measures and use caution around rising water levels.
Warm temperatures, spring runoff, and showers/rain over the next few days may contribute to higher-than-normal streamflows, particularly on the Humber River and throughout parts of the Western Region.
Residents in low-lying or waterfront areas should continue to monitor conditions and stay alert for further updates.
